Counterfeit boxes are often sealed with a thick masking tape instead of glue.
The code on the top right of the authentic box should read 100188.
(1) The counterfeit ignition strip is often off center and wider than the ignition strip on the authentic box.
(2) A code is often missing under the glue flap on the counterfeit box.
The overlap on the box sleeve is glued half way on the authentic Lion Safety Matches vs three quarters or out of position on counterfeit boxes.
