Dover, NJ police find warehouse full of counterfeit Heinz Ketchup.
Heinz Ketchup apparently was purchased in large quantities and transferred it into fraudulent plastic bottles labeled "Simply Heinz," a premium Heinz brand made with sugar in place of high fructose corn syrup.
Police discover the abandoned warehouse with the counterfeit product. The Dover, NJ warehouse was leased by an outfit called Wholesome Foods and held thousands of mislabeled bottles of ketchup inside hundreds of crates.
Heinz spokesperson Jessica Jackson, stated 'As a company dedicated to food safety and quality, Heinz will not tolerate illegal repackaging of our products and we will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone who engages in such illicit behavior.
