The following is a notification from UL that the USB power adapter Model A1265 identified below bears a counterfeit UL Mark for the United States and Canada. The USB adapters have not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate Standards for Safety and it is unknown if these USB power adapters comply with any safety requirements.
Note the Model A1265 with the counterfeit Mark is similar to a Apple Model A1265 that is authorized to bear the UL Mark.
The counterfeit Model A1265 power adapters are marked "Designed by WHP in California", the power adapter that is authorized to bear the UL mark is marked "Designed by Apple in California".
The word "equipment" is misspelled on the counterfeit unit. Instead of "For use with information technology equipment", the counterfeit unit is marked "For use with information technology equipmnet."
