There are many counterfeit Micro-Pak products on the market. These fakes are not made with Micro-Pak's technology or ingredients and do not follow Micro-Pak quality standards. These counterfeits are sold illegally.
The use of these counterfeits is a violation of trademark and patent law and may result in the packaged item (shoes, garments, etc) being held by customs authorities. The counterfeits may also contain toxic ingredients that could harm consumers as well as damage your products.
Some factories have mixed counterfeit stickers together with genuine stickers hoping that this will lessen the chance that they will be found out. The factories should be very clear that the use of any counterfeit products, regardless of the quantity is a violation of local and international law.
Some counterfeiters can make copies that look confusingly similar to the authentic product. Micro-Pak has developed a Sticker Authentication Sample Card. Simply select stickers or sheets that you have received with your orders, attach these to the cards and send them back to Micro-Pak in the self-addressed envelope for checking. Micro-Pak wlll report the results directly to you. This has shown to be a very effective method of checking that your suppliers are complying with your requirements.
These are authentic Micro-Pak stickers. The security features are extremely difficult to copy although counterfeiters will try to make something that looks similar.
There are several overt and covert features that are built into each product sold.
Micro-Pak offers and utilizes a UV Light and a Laser pen for security feature identification.
Utilizing the UV pen, multiple visible responses can be seen from the the SAME particle on the sticker.
The same particle will glow differently under UV and laser light sources. (UV shown)
While illuminated with the UV light, shine the laser on the sticker. Each color will glow brighter the same color.
ALL particles will have DUAL responses and will react to BOTH the Micro-Pak UV Light and the Micro-Pak Laser Pen.
Hold the UV light directly on the authentic Micro-Pak sticker for 3 seconds. Turn off the UV light.
The particles will continue to glow. Green will glow green; orange will glow orange. Illumination with the laser pen will make each color glow brighter.
