Unfortunately, a number of counterfeit Mizuno Golf Clubs are appearing on the market and many are difficult to distinguish from the authentic product.
There are many fakes out there, so make sure you are buying from a trusted source the next time you purchase any new or used equipment.
Compare the authentic Mizuno MX-700 Fairway Wood and the counterfeit. The counterfeit is poor quality in both finish and appearance. The lettering is rough and appears unfinished.
The colors are darker and stand out more on the counterfeit.
The authentic Mizuno MX-700 (a hybrid shown here) club has very subtle graphics.
The graphics on the counterfeit club are uneven, use much darker colors and stand out much more.
Compare the head covers for both clubs. The counterfeit lacks the detailed stitching, and has poor quality and smaller embroidery.
The counterfeit head cover is a much more textured synthetic leather than the authentic Mizuno cover.
The hosel on the counterfeit club is much shorter than the authentic Mizuno MX-700 club, and the serial number is a much larger font on the counterfeit.
