Malwarebytes has confirmed that authorization keys obtained or distributed from eBay or other online sources without an authentic Malwarebytes CD disc and Malwarebytes packaging are counterfeit.
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is a computer application that claims to find and remove malware. Made by Malwarebytes Corporation, it was released in January 2008. Malwarebytes is available in a free version, to scan for and remove malware when started manually, and a paid version, which provides scheduled scans, real-time protection and a flash memory scanner.
A number of listings have appeared on eBay for Malwarebytes software, but in fact the listings are for just the authentication keys, which are generated by a keygen - a product key generator .
Counterfeiting access keys is illegal, and the Malwarebytes counterfeit access keys will be disabled by Malwarebytes, leaving the user and their computer without Malwarebytes protection and the user out their investment.
