Product Information:

Counterfeiting is definitely not an instance where imitation is the highest form of flattery. Protecting trademarks is not just about protecting business interests; it's about protecting consumers and the health and safety of the people who make clothing around the world.

The iconic and trademarked Levis red tab (including the red color) and the familiar arcuate or batwing stitching that grace just about every pair of Levi's jeans have come to stand for more than just well-made product. Now, Levi's is often faced with counterfeiters who want to make money by taking advantage of the goodwill, reputation and quality associated the Levi's brand.

There are so many variations and deceptive production tactics used by counterfeiters to specifically deceive you, the best advice is to buy authentic, quality Levi's from authorized retailers.

Counterfeit products are often listed on eBay and sold to unsuspecting buyers as "genuine" or "100% authentic" items at prices close to retail.

Warnings / Hazards:

Counterfeit products are often listed on e-commerce websites including eBay and Amazon, and sold to unsuspecting buyers as "genuine" or "100% authentic" items at prices close to retail.

Recommended Action:

Buy authentic Levi Strauss products from authorized retailers.

Levi's publicly provides a complete list of suppliers around the world. If there is a question about whether someone is an authorized Levi Strauss & Co. supplier, it can always be checked against Levi's public information.

If you purchased a counterfeit from an e-commerce website (including eBay, Amazon, AliExpress) keep the counterfeit product as proof for your dispute, the manufacturer or authorities. If returned, the seller will claim it is not counterfeit, or re-sell it to another unsuspecting consumer. Contact your credit-card company and dispute the charges -- you have the counterfeit product as proof. Leave negative "Counterfeit" feedback for the seller.
